Carpet cleaners urged to be more eco-friendly - Fastklean
<div readability="57.3664959766"> <p align="center">28/11/2011</p><img src="http://pictures.directnews.co.uk/liveimages/carpet+cleaners+urged+to+be+more+eco+friendly_1604_801223388_0_0_14038411_200.jpg" width="170" height="200" alt="" />Carpet cleaners have been urged to ensure they are not using harmful substances that could damage the environment and also people's health.<p>According to US-based equipment manufacturer Reliable Corporation, carpet cleaners should look under their sink and get rid of any fluids that are not environmentally-friendly.</p><p>Vice-president of marketing firm 1-800-GO-VAPOR.com - which is promoting Reliable Corporation's TANDEM bed bug killing system - V K Dunlop highlighted the importance of having a positive attitude towards green cleaning.</p><p>"Replacing cancer-causing household chemical cleaners with a vapour steam cleaner is a wonderful and healthy way to start the holidays," the representative commented.</p><p>The TANDEM machine is unique in that it can be used as a vacuum cleaner to spruce up carpets and a steam cleaner to eradicate bed bugs and dust mites.</p><p>According to Mr Dunlop, the dual water-based filtration system helps asthma and hay fever sufferers by trapping pollen and other allergens.</p><p>Earlier this year, Allergy UK urged carpet cleaners to take extra measures to clamp down on household allergens, as 12 million Britons are currently allergic to their own homes.
