Disinfectant Carpet Cleaner

To disinfect the carpeting using organic ingredients, use white vinegar. Vinegar works as both a cleaner and disinfectant, and is perfect for use by itself or in a steam cleaner. To use alone, mix equal parts of water and white vinegar in a spray bottle, then spray over the carpeting. Let it sit for 20 minutes, then vacuum the floor. To use with a steam cleaner, pour 1 cup into your steam cleaner canister, then top off with warm water. Clean the carpets as you typically would and the vinegar solution will quickly kill germs and bacteria.
